LECTURE SERIES Every year the Students Council of Sir J J College organizes a series of lectures. The guest lecturers are prominent architects of the city and country who come and share their knowledge and experience with the students of our college. This acts as a supplement to the curriculum and also gives the students a better understanding of architecture in the country today. These annual lecture series thus serve as a platform for interaction of students and professionals. Since their foundation in 1997 the lecture series have gradually grown and matured evolving within themselves. Today they stand as a lecture and workshop series enabling students not only to understand the process of architecture but also be an active part of them. Thus a dual education of philosophy and constructional techniques helps the students bridge the gap between architectural concepts and realized architectural design. Sir J.J College Of Architecture conducts "The CLAUDE BATLEY LECTURE SERIES" to introduce students of architecture to works of contemporary Indian architects. This program includes seminars delivered by some of the most renowned and recognised architects, interior designers and structural engineers of the country. These seminars serve as a forum for interaction between architects, students and the common man and enable one to obtain a fine and elucidated understanding of the philosophy of the Architects and their design principles Selected works of the Architects are usually displayed at The Claude Batley Gallery, SIR J.J College OF Architecture. A few of our guest lecturers in the past who have held seminars included the following people.
